STARNO produced an historical reconstitution of Malaga city, Spain, in 1862.
STARNO is proud to have produced historical visual effects on the Netflix series Alias Grace.
STARNO had great pleasure of working on the movie La Bolduc.
STARNO worked on the movie “Ashes in the Snow” which takes place in Siberia in 1941. We added snow to several shots, which had none to very little snow on set.
STARNO created awesome set extension shots for the movie “Pawn Sacrifice”; New York City, Santa Monica and Moscow with historical reconstructions of the 1920’s, 50’s and 70’s.
We created the restaurant called Dancing Zorba's for both, day and night versions for the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. It goes unnoticed that we have completely redone the building’s facade, including the neon sign.
STARNO delivered these historical re-enactment matte paintings of the city of Paris and the Versailles castle in 1650 for the TV show Versailles.
We have also had the pleasure of creating beautiful concept art of China in ancient period, along with set extension matte paintings for the movie “Outcast”.
Our team has taken great pleasure in recreating for the documentary “Raising Pompei”, this historical site in Italy, where the tragedy has yet to occur.
STARNO team created a retro futuristic matte painting of New York City in the 50s for the movie The Tin Wife.
STARNO team created this heroic science fiction matte painting shot inspired from the movie Blade Runner and with many layers of set extension and comp enhancements, achieved a wonderful and breathtaking look development for a possible CG environment.
