STARNO was commissioned to provide high-end conceptual previsualization for the inaugural season of the hit ABC thriller series, Quantico. Our primary mandate was to transform technical architectural files from Google Sketchup into photorealistic 3D visualizations of the FBI Academy’s central offices and training facilities.
This crucial pre-production work served as the financial and creative cornerstone for the series' infrastructure. These renderings allowed the production team to secure budget approval and obtain the final "green light" for the physical construction of the massive studio sets. Beyond financial validation, our visualizations acted as a master guide for construction crews, art directors, and production designers, ensuring the aesthetic integrity of the show's iconic locations.
In addition to the architectural pre-viz, STARNO created an expansive, ultra-high-resolution digital backdrop (exceeding 8,000 pixels). This cityscape was printed on specialized translight canvas and installed behind the studio windows, creating a perfect illusion of depth and reality for the actors and the camera, seamlessly blending the physical set with a virtual exterior world.

Quantico follows a diverse group of recruits as they arrive at the FBI Academy in Virginia to begin their training. These "NATs" (New Agent Trainees) are considered the best, the brightest, and the most vetted, so it seems impossible that one of them could be suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11.
The story jumps between two timelines: the recruits' pasts during their training at the academy, and a high-stakes present-day hunt for the terrorist hiding among them. Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra), the lead protagonist, finds herself framed for the explosion at Grand Central Terminal and must go on the run to clear her name while uncovering a deep conspiracy within the bureau.
