STARNO.net was commissioned to enhance a 30-second television spot for Bell, one of Canada's leading telecommunications providers. The creative direction required a warm, welcoming residential neighborhood backdrop to complement the performance of celebrated Quebec actor Claude Legault.
Our primary mandate was the digital creation of a high-fidelity neighborhood house set during the spring season. This environment work was crucial to ground the scene in a relatable, "hometown" reality while maintaining full control over the aesthetic elements of the spring atmosphere. By utilizing advanced Matte Painting and 2D/3D integration, we crafted a backdrop that feels organic and physically present behind the talent.
The challenge lay in the subtleties of seasonal lighting and foliage. We meticulously designed the architectural details of the house and the surrounding greenery to reflect the fresh, crisp quality of Quebec in the springtime. The final result is an "invisible" digital set that allows the narrative and the celebrity performance to remain the focal point, demonstrating STARNO's expertise in photorealistic environment extensions for high-end advertising.
Bell’s advertising campaigns are renowned for their high production values and their ability to connect with the Canadian public through recognizable faces and relatable settings. This specific spot utilized Claude Legault's authentic charisma to deliver a message of reliability and connection.
At STARNO.net, we specialize in providing cinematic environment solutions for the commercial industry. Whether creating a neighborhood from scratch or extending a physical set, our goal is to achieve a level of realism that supports the story without ever feeling artificial. This collaboration with Bell stands as a prime example of our studio's ability to blend technical precision with artistic seasonal lighting.
